Teaching your students about apples soon? I have a list of some of my favorite books about apples just for you!
Hello World! How Do Apples Grow?
This book, How Do Apples Grow?, is one of my favorite apple books. It’s a board book, but I think elementary students would like it too. I actually checked it out with my three year old because he loves the “Hello World” books and I loved how much information was in such a small book.
Apples By Gail Gibbons
Gail Gibbons is normally my go-to when I’m looking for non-fiction picture books. I love how many facts are presented in her books, but also that it’s a picture book. Apples is another great one!
Johnny Appleseed
This book, Johnny Appleseed, tells about his life. It is about how he grew up as a young boy who loved the outdoors into a man who spread apple seeds across the country.
Apples For Everyone
Apples For Everyone is part of the picture book series, Picture The Seasons. It gives a great close-up of apples with its beautiful photographs.
How Do Apples Grow?
This is another picture book presented with factual information. How Do Apples Grow? is a perfect primary text with short simple sentences. Students will love learning about apples with this book.
