Description

Teaching and reviewing how to use punctuation and capitals should be engaging, fun, and meaningful, especially in December when students are ready for Christmas! Get the wiggles out before winter break with these 3 write the room activities and centers. This resource is now digital!

This resource is now available in print, Google, and Seesaw!

Read below to find out the details for each activity.

  • The Gingerbread Man Activity: In this activity, the gingerbread man stole all the punctuation from the sentences! It’s your students’ job to “catch” him! In order to do so, they must figure out the punctuation for each sentence. Once they do, the riddle will tell them where to find the gingerbread man.
  • The Elf Is Tangled In Tinsel: The elf got himself tangled inside his tinsel while wrapping gifts. Your students will have to figure out the correct capitals in order to solve the riddle to find the elf.
  • Oh Deer! One of Santa’s reindeer has a silly joke for you! Your students will have to figure out the capitals in each sentence to solve the joke!

These 3 activities are a fun way to practice capitals and punctuation in the days leading up to winter break! Keep it light and keep it fun!

Happy Holidays!
