End of year crafts are one of my favorite ways to celebrate the end of the school year. Why? Because the end of the school year is an exhausting, busy, fun, stressful, exciting, and overwhelming time for teachers. I’m sure I could add about 50 more adjectives to that list. Planning all the activities can be overwhelming, especially when there’s just so much to do. If you’re looking to add some end of year crafts to your end of year lesson plans, you’ve come to the right place!
Popsicle Frame
A fun keepsake craft for students to make is a popsicle frame! Simply hot glue 4 craft sticks to make a square. Glue a piece of cardstock on the back and a string to hang. Students can write 4 favorite memories (one on each stick). Then, they can glue a picture of themselves in the middle. If you have extras of their school pictures, this would be great to use for that. My school always gave 3 miniature versions of their school picture to use for various things.
This is one of my favorite end of year crafts because it can be relatively cheap. Look for craft sticks and string at the dollar store and you’re ready to go!
End Of Year Ice Cream Cone
This is one of my favorite end of year crafts because it’s just so cute! Pair this craft with an ice cream party and you’re good to go! That is obviously not a necessity, but it’s fun! This end of year craft is a fun way to reflect on the school year. Each scoop of the ice cream cone has a prompt to write about or draw a picture of.
The prompts are:
- My Favorite Part Of The Year
- Our Field Trip
- My Favorite Lunch
- My Friends
- My Favorite Subject
- My Teacher
- My Favorite Book
- About Me
- Also includes: First, Next, Then, Last to create a sequencing story instead
This end of year craft is a fun alternative if you ran out of time to do a memory book with your class too.

Blossoming Throughout The School Year
Here is another fun craft to reflect on the school year. Instead of reflecting on different favorite things, this end of year craft focuses on how students blossomed throughout the school year.
The prompts are:
- I am most proud of myself for…
- The most fun I had this school year was when…
- What I struggled with and kept trying…
- What I liked learning the most this school year…
- I hope I keep blossoming in…
- Something I want to try next school year…
This end of year craft was made for grades: pre-k, kindergarten, first grade, second grade, and third grade. The flower petals have templates appropriate for the different grade levels. Primary-lined and intermediate-lined petals are included, as well as blank for drawing photos only.
