Halloween is coming! Don’t be spooked! I’m going to share some free Halloween math games with you today that you can easily incorporate in your classroom today. They’re completely no prep so you can just print and give to your students! No scrambling around to get a lot of different pieces ready for students to play! They just need dice or a paperclip/pencil combo for a spinner. These are very similar to the number sense independent math games in my TPT store.
Dice Games
Kids love anything that involves dice. I highly recommend putting dice in a small container with a lid so that students have to shake the dice inside, rather than out in the open on their table. That only leads to disaster and dice flying across the room. That’s not just my class, right?!
Independent Games
Games that students can play independently is always a win in my book because it makes them focus on their learning, rather than who will win. When you add dice to anything, it’s a game and they love it. With the ones included, students are focusing on their addition skills, partner numbers, number bonds, and adding three numbers.
Partner Games
Partner games are fun too of course! Students play with a partner to practice their addition skills. Students are also practicing taking turns, a skill that is still difficult in the early years of elementary school.
