It’s fall! We all know what that means… Pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin bread, pumpkin muffins, pumpkin patching, and most important… Pumpkin activities in the classroom! I have over ten free pumpkin activities for grades kindergarten, first, and second to share with you today! The only thing better than them being pumpkin-themed is that they are free!
Pumpkin Math Activities
Independent Math Game from Missing Tooth Grins – Pumpkin Roll is a fun independent math game! Independent math games are a lot of fun for students to play as early finishers or a math center. Just add dice and students are ready to play!
Pumpkin Shape Activity from Crafty Curriculum – Engage your little learners with this fun pumpkin shape freebie! Students will trace each shape name, hunt for different shapes and place onto the shape mat, and use clothes pin clips to match up shapes!
Pumpkin Number Cards from A is for Apples – These pumpkin number cards are perfect for working on counting, number matching, and one-to-one correspondence! Students can play matching games to match the pumpkin numbers to the other pumpkin-themed counting cards.

Lowercase Letters Alphabet Pumpkins from The Kinder Life – Identify lowercase letters with this fun pumpkin freebie! Using the colored pumpkin cards, students will find each lowercase letter and color the b/w pumpkin letter the matching color on their recording sheet.
Pumpkin Sight Word Recognition Center from The Connett Connection – Hide the cat behind the pumpkin and have students guess which pumpkin it is hiding behind by saying the sight word! Teachers are able to target sight words for students in individual, small group or whole group lessons.
