4 -ing rule anchor charts
Mark the -ing activity: sorting activity with words with a natural -ing (example: ring, sing) and adding -ing (crying, wanting)
Where’s the -ing? activity: sorting activity with words with -ing in the middle of the word (example: linger, mingle) and words with -ing at the end (example: king, spring)
Find the -ing words: 6 different passages (in color and black and white). Laminate or put in a page protector so you can use over and over again- have students read and highlight the -ing words
Puzzling e’s: 6 different puzzles for students to put together involving What’s Your Name e and adding -ing
Write the Room: 4 different sets of Write the Room cards. Each set has a different rule for -ing. The students find the word, write the word down, and then change the word to have -ing at the end.
