Pop The Balloon! Task Cards are a great way to incorporate phonics skills into your daily centers. Once you prep them, you will have phonics centers for the entire year! There are 20 different sets. The amount of skills within each set varies based on the phonics skill. Each card contains six words following that particular skill. There are 312 cards included.

These cards can be used in different ways, such as centers, guided reading, early finishers, tutoring, and partner work. Students can also simply practice reading them to “pop” the balloon, just like the other versions (see below section titled, “You May Also Like”). To do so, students begin reading from the bottom and once they correctly read each word all the way to the top, they “pop” the balloon (my students clap and yell “POP!”)!

11 task pages are also included to vary the different ways you can use these cards. These are a great way to practice phonics for your learners throughout the entire year!
