Description
The first day of school is always filled with a lot of important things to do. One back to school lesson you should have in your lesson plan book is taking your students on a scavenger hunt around the school! Even if your students went to the same school the previous year, chances are they may not remember where everything is, especially being in a different classroom!
This fun, engaging activity will have your students interested in figuring out the clues and learning where different important rooms are in the building. After this activity, your students will be more familiar with the school than they were before!
Before the lesson, hang up the clues around the school. There are 8 total.
They are:
- classroom
- art
- gym
- library
- lunch
- principal
- nurse
- playground
Read The Gingerbread Man Loose At School and then take your students around to find the clues. Afterwards, have cookies if you want! Then, there’s graph to fill out about who likes gingerbread cookies and who doesn’t.
This comes in color and black and white.
