Telling time doesn’t have to be difficult to teach! With the right activities, your students will be excited to learn to read the time to the hour, half hour,
and nearest five minutes. These independent math games and color by codes are high engagement and fun! 1st and 2nd grade students will look forward to practicing telling time with these different, unique activities.
This set includes 28 color by code sheets and 35 independent math games. They are quick and easy to prep and make for great activities to add to your sub plans! The directions are clear and direct. Your students will definitely stay on task!
I created the independent math games because my students wildly benefited from playing games; however, sometimes I noticed students feeling apprehensive to play because they weren’t always sure of the answer. Plus, independent math games are much quieter than partner games *wink wink*. I created the color by code sheets because my students always loved coloring!
Here’s what is included:
- 28 color by code sheets for telling time to the hour, half hour, & nearest 5 minutes
- 35 no prep math games for telling time to the hour, half hour, & nearest 5 minutes (this resource is preloaded into Google Slides AND Seesaw!)
Both these activities are great for early finishers, morning work, math centers, independent work, guided math, or part of your lesson plans!
