Spring Classroom Activities
#1: Spring Color By Code

I always love to have some color by code sheets in my back pocket for those filler times. For example, when a lesson ends early, after a fire drill, for kids that finish work quickly, etc. They are a fun way to practice different skills. Plus, I feel that our primary students still should be working with fine motor and should be coloring!
#2: Spring Main Idea

Teaching main idea can be tough. It’s a hard concept for first graders! It’s important to review it throughout the school year, which is why I love these spring main idea passages. They cover spring topics like: butterflies, soccer, Earth Day, rainbows, and more. Each sheet includes a short passage with a short answer and multiple-choice questions.
#3: Spring Math Puzzles

#5: Spring Punctuation Activities

These spring punctuation activities are great for punctuation review. The different activities focus on students using and identifying the correct punctuation for sentences. Here’s a breakdown of what’s included:
- Punctuation Picnic: Oh no! The ants ate all the picnic food… And the punctuation from our sentences as a snack! Students will need to figure out the correct punctuation to use for our sentences (question mark, period, or exclamation point).
- Hop To Punctuation: Students read the sentence on the frog and then “hop” it to the correct lilypad with the correct punctuation.
- Planting Punctuation Craft: Each student will have a garden for statements and a garden for questions. They will read the sentence on the flower or vegetable and fill in the correct punctuation. Then, they will “plant” that plant in the correct garden.
- Punctuation Pollen: Students read the sentence on the bee and then buzz to the correct flower with the correct punctuation.
- No Prep Pages: Use as you see fit!
