Before I get started, there is nothing education-related in this post. It’s just for fun. If you don’t like animals or pets, you probably won’t like this post. I’m just sayin’. That’s my disclaimer.
I love my dogs.
I mean, like I really, really do. I treat them like the little fur children that they are and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Those of you with furbabies, or human babies, have you noticed with your time off how your babies enjoy this summer break just as much as you do? Or maybe even more? No, that’s impossible. I enjoy my summer break. No one can enjoy my summer break more than I do.
Anyway, so this post is about my dogs and the reasons they love summer break so much. During the school year, my dogs are home alone for nearly ten hours. I know. That’s such a long time and Paul and I do not like to do that. Thankfully, Jasper and Sadie are little angels and we don’t have to lock them up during the day. I’m pretty sure they sleep on the couch literally the whole ten hours. So, I know they are loving my summer break as much as I do!
First, let me introduce my furbabies to you.
Adorable, right?
I’m sure that most of you are like me during the school year. I barely have time to dry my hair, let alone give my pups some extra love and affection. During the school year, morning belly rubs are skipped. During the summer, morning belly rubs are a must and last a very long time.
During the school year, my babes don’t get a real walk in the morning. They go outside for a few minutes, but it’s nothing like what they get in the summer. We do a morning walk and about fifty gazillion more during the day. They totally love it.
More bones. More treats. More food. Life is good. They get spoiled with a treat every time we come in from a walk. More walks means more treats. That’s probably the real reason they love walks so much, but hey… This is my time to spoil them like crazy.
I can’t go anywhere without them jumping on my lap. Even when I get my computer out, one of them is always on my lap. These are pictures are from when I sat outside on our patio, both of them jumped in my lap. It was awkward and uncomfortable, but I loved every minute of it. I loved it so much, I took some #selfies. Don’t judge. My dogs love them some #selfies.
We like to party. We like, we like to party. When it’s not a snuggle time or walk time, it’s a play time. I don’t really know if Jasper and Sadie play during the day. I don’t have a Nanny Cam for my dogs. Would I? No, never! Wait, yes? I don’t know. I want to know what they do when I’m not here! Does that make me crazy? Kind of.
If you can’t tell from this post, I absolutely love our furbabies. Paul and I are totally smitten with them. I’m so glad that they get to enjoy my summer break as much as I do. I will totally miss all this time with them when school starts back up!

I liked your furbabies before, really, I did. But now I have come to the conclusion that I Love them! How could you not after a post like that! I enjoyed every minute of it. Your voice totally came through and I was laughing and ooing and ahhing right along! Mid-way through I thought, "I wonder if Alisha dresses them up?" Well, question no more! They are quite the models. Nothing like loving and being loved. They win the sweetest furbabies award for the day! (I know you are like, what? The day! But I have three cats here that would be a little jealous.) xo Loved the read!
