Read To Your Students Before The First Day Of School
Are you interested in building community and forming relationships with your new group of students before school even begins? You can read to your students the night before the first day of school! Doing so shows your new students your personality, who you are, etc. They will feel more comfortable and confident on the first day of school having heard a story from you the night before. With distance learning, your students may not get to see you in person before school starts so this is a great option for that! If you need to, you can send it with a digital postcard!
How To Record Yourself
If you are interested in learning how to record yourself reading a book, you need to check out this blog post first. It gives detailed directions, as well as a video, on how to do it. These are great to pass out on back to school night on a tag or meet the teacher letter with a QR code.
Send It Digitally
I’m currently writing this in July of 2020- where there’s a lot of talk about what do we do about school in the fall. Some students will return in person while others may do distance learning. I created a digital postcard for you to send to your families in case you won’t see your students before the first day.
When you download this postcard, it will be uploaded to your Google account. Then, you can save it to your Google Drive, edit it to fit your needs, and send it out to your families.
